Here's the pitch; we've got a song for you, it's about God, it's about searching for Him, finding Him and praising Him. You're not convinced are you? You've obviously not met Nick Cave then. While a certain Manson may be a prolific member of the Church of Satan, in terms of gothic-ness the whole genre combined can't compete with an on form Cave. With a career that spans 20 years and touches on topics veering from death to God, you can't help but take note.
Taken from the 'Abattoir Blues' album, part of 2004's highly acclaimed double package along with the 'Lyre of Orpheus', 'Get Ready For Love' has a gospel choir contribution of a nature that Paul Simon would be jealous of. Though not the stand out track on the album; drumming reminiscent of Dave Grohl's efforts, choral backing and distinctive Nick Cave tones take this above a 'preaching song'. By the end of it you'll certainly be praising someone.
'Get Ready For Love' is released as a single through Mute Records on 28th February 2005.
