Adem - Homesongs

Album Reviews

Recorded on a computer with two shoddy microphones and a cup of coffee is a feeling that many musician types up and down the country will identify with.

Adem - Homesongs 'Homesongs' is a collection of songs, surprisingly, recorded at home. Bet you didnt see that one coming. Recorded on a computer with two shoddy microphones and a cup of coffee is a feeling that many musician types up and down the country will identify with. Few will manage to come out with something that has the quality of this though.

Big budget doesnt always mean good, in fact it usually doesn't even equate to reasonable. There's a lot to be said for tht homegrown feel, and this is one record thats certainly got its release on merit.

Atmosphere and harmonies are the name of the game, with tracks like 'Statued' and 'Cut' genuinely managing to hold the attention. Tender and thoughtful to the last, this is one home made album that won't fall to bits within two weeks.
