At times it's hard to tell whether this Abba nostalgia is ironic and tongue-in-cheek or for real. But, it seems to be the latter.

Music Go Music - Expressions Music Go Music have unleashed their very own brand of retro pop on debut album 'Expressions' with each track freefalling into the 1970s.

From the camp dance beats of 'Love, Violent Love' to Eurovision entry sounding ballad 'Explorers of the Heart,' it is at times hard to tell whether this Abba nostalgia is ironic and tongue-in-cheek or for real.

Opening track 'I Walk Alone' kicks things off promisingly with electro beats suitably shaping the warbling lyrics, but the melodramatics of 'Reach Out' and the piano led 'Light of Love' prolong the time warped hysteria throughout the rest of the debut.

Crafting their own colourful niche in an often monochrome industry, they earn praise for branching away from the mass-produced beats currently filling venues around the country. Rating: 6/10
