If The Organ now reside sedately in Splitsville, it’s a place where EP ‘Thieves’ slides constantly through your speakers and ‘Let The Bells Ring’s off kilter guitar lines and scaling piano keys are the disco hit of the night.
On the dancefloor it’s a party where all the kids are dressed in black lace and everyone is half is love with Katie Sketch’s rich intonations. When she exclaims ‘I climbed so bloody high I couldn’t stop my bleeding nose’ you believe she is there flailing on some mountain and it’s so awkwardly dance inspiring that its surprising not to hear the grating of shoulder blades and knee joints beneath the swathing instrumentals.
Each member independent of themselves but, as always, somehow gelling perfectly together The Organ will be one group of dark party starters that have been, and will be, missed.
