The London based five piece’s second single ‘Radio Bliss’ is a wonderfully melodic and assured piece of indie rock. In fact, ‘Radio Bliss’ is an extremely apt title for a single that is soaked in insidious melody and the dreamy voice of singer Arthur Delaney.
There is a lovely psychedelic and hypnotic feel to a single that never outstays its welcome, and has more than enough fascination and intrigue in it to make you want to listen again.
There is nothing brash or in your face about Born Blonde and in the wake of Viva Bother’s tedious mouthing off in the press this is certainly a good thing for a new guitar band. UK music has been sorely lacking in expertly crafted and ambitious guitar pop and on the evidence of this single Born Blonde may be the band to lead the revival.
