£10 Pick: Festival Of The Spoken Nerd Festival Of The Spoken Nerd
Theatre Royal Haymarket, London.
2nd February.

Tickets for this evening of geekery actually cost £14 but if you’re savvy with your spending you can pick them up for £10 from lastminute.com. (Yes, we do bear a striking similarity to Mr Moneysaving himself, Martin Lewis).

Stand-up mathematician Matt Parker, songstress Helen Amey, and Blue Peter’s go-to science guru, Steve Mould, are three people you’d expect to find messing around with a Bunsen burner in an after school club. However for one night only they take over the Theatre Royal Haymarket for an evening of all things nerd. Cue interactive experiments, geeky songs, science, maths and special guests all with a healthy dose of comedy thrown in.

There’s no dress policy, but you might look a little out of place in anything other than bottle-top glasses, ankle-grazing trousers, and a satchel - less Graham Coxon and more Screech Saved by the Bell. It’s probably also advisable to adopt the name “Eugene” for the evening, too. Stereotyping? Us?!
