Fans of the cute, kitsch and kawaii, should totter down in their cosplay outfits to Earls Court this weekend for a celebration of all things Japanese. Expect plenty to entertain and ogle at from Tokyo street fashions to Nintendo’s latest offerings.

There’ll also be sake tastings, film screenings, and competitions, as well as a performance from actress and J-pop star, Natsuko Aso.

Though it’s bound to attract the manga and anime fans who like to dress in that inimitable cartoon style, it’s set to be just as interesting for those with only a mild curiosity for Japan and its pop culture. And if all you want to do is sample the food, then make sure you get your ticket for the UK Sushi Roll Championship.
