Adidas Launches SS12 Team GB Originals Collection
The new collection features patriotic three-stripe taping detail in red, white and blue.
We’ll admit it, when it comes to The Olympics, we’re less than enthusiastic about the whole shebang. It’s great that the athletes are getting more than the recommended 20 minutes of walking a day, but why anyone would want to watch them run round in circles for hours on end, jump over some little fence-type things, or hurl a pointy stick through the air, is beyond us. So, yeah, we haven’t been shedding any tears over the fact we don’t have tickets. Still, if there is something to wean us away from our sheer dislike of sport, it’s the unveiling of a rather cool sportswear range from Adidas. (There are no rules stating hoodies can only be worn when running). The new SS12 Team GB Originals collection mixes signature Originals silhouettes with a colour palette inspired by the Team GB kit from the Los Angeles 1984 Olympic Games. Why 1984? Nothing to do with George Orwell, but it is in fact the first time Adidas sponsored Team GB.
The new collection features patriotic three-stripe taping detail in red, white and blue and each item in the range has the iconic Originals Trefoil logo and the Team GB logo too.
Our pick of the lot has to be the new women’s capsule collection which is made up of five key pieces including a lust-worthy longline hoody in heather grey. Equally as good for cosying up on the sofa in or, if you’re that way inclined, while out on a jog.
