As far as we’re aware, there’s no festival solely dedicated to Absolutely Fabulous (we’d go as Saskia), Fist of Fun (weak lemon drink anyone?), or, erm, Eastenders, so what is it about Father Ted that makes hordes of people go mad for a long weekend of pure Father Ted-related silliness?

Whatever the reason, this festival looks set to be a whole lot more fun than watching endless self-involved indie bands mooching through their set lists this summer. Well, at least if you’re a Father Ted fan anyway.

Now in its sixth year, Tedfest sees the tiny isle of Inis Mór transformed into a real life Craggy Island. Bands like Sister Scratchy and the Bad Habits provide some of the sounds, while those who’ve bought the tickets provide the costumes.
