Preview: Whose Film Is It Anyway? Contemporary Japanese Auteurs10th - 16th February at ICA, London and 17th February - 28th March on tour.
There’s no sign of Clive Anderson, Tony Slattery or Ryan Stiles anywhere in sight, and there probably won’t be any improvised songs, or audience participation, but Whose Film Is It Anyway? Contemporary Japanese Auteurs still promises to be a decent night out. Although maybe one that’s a bit more hard-hitting than a night in front of Whose Line Is It Anyway?
Kicking off at the ICA in London, and then moving on to Sheffield, Edinburgh, Belfast, Glasgow, Bristol and Nottingham, this programme showcases some of Japan’s established and up and coming film-making talent. Highlights include ‘All Around Us’ which follows a married couple coming to terms with the death of their child and ‘I Just Didn’t Do It’ which sees a young man falsely arrested for groping a woman on a train.
