Weekly Fashion Fix: Faux Fur When it comes to keeping warm, one thing’s never going to be a faux pax in our fashion book, and that’s faux fur. We’re talking collars, coats, and cardigans - basically anything with a tendency towards the furry. 

And don’t be fooled into thinking all faux fur-related fashion needs to come in a shade of animal. Uh uh. Cue this bubblegum blue Faux Fur Pointed Collar from ASOS for a snip at £8. It’s got gothic doll chic to the max. 

For something a little more subtle in the faux fur trend, these Tan Fur Lined Lace Up Boots for £75 from Urban Outfitters hit the spot. While the scenesters will be rocking brothel creepers you can stay smug in the knowledge your tootsies are toasty. 

Possibly the only coat this winter we’ve literally swooned over – this velvet and Faux Fur Trimmed Coat is a Wednesday Adams must-have. What’s more it’s ridiculously well priced at just £39.99 from Amazon. We have severe coat envy. True story. 

For wintery Moscow-chic, look no further than this Honey Faux Fur Glossy Cossack Hat. Tip alert: opt for a different colour if your hair is a similar shade else you run the risk of looking like you have a square-shaped head. Bad times. £22 from Topshop. 

This next coat is channeling Welsh tapestry from the 1960s and for that we kneel down before it. But not only does it get the vintage look spot on, it also scores highly for its faux fur collar. Oh Yumi you know how to spoil us. Faux Fur Collar Coat £70 from House of Fraser. 

Keep warm even if you’re staying in, in this cardigan that couples comfort with extreme cool. But where’s the faux fur?! Look closer and you’ll see those just aren’t any old stripes, they’re faux fur stripes. Oh thank you ASOS, how could we ever doubt you? Faux Fur Stripe Cardigan £65. 

Finally, faux fur yourself up in these snow leopard print mittens for £18 from House of Fraser. Expect a call from Frozen Planet just in case they need to mock up some footage.
