1234 Shoreditch Festival, Shoreditch Park, London
Date: Saturday 24th July

Bo Ningen

The much loved Japanese quartet will be sure to draw a massive crowd to their set, which, on the grounds of previous performances, will be thoroughly entertaining. Their array of progressive metal has been the subject of much chatter; it would be wise to catch Bo Ningen earlier rather than later.

Wavves

A marmite band but we're certainly on the appreciating side of Wavves. Very much in-vogue with the current trend of lo-fi noise-pop, the band has the potential to shine. If sunny weather will grace Shoreditch Park, their dreamy surf-pop will be irresistible.

Veronica Falls

London’s answer to the Dum Dum Girls (who are also playing, by the way), Veronica Falls are a mishmash of C86 and Spectorian girl groups. Don’t be put off with some morbid themes (recent single 'Beachy Head' is more than linked to the notorious cliff-top suicide hotspot), they're well worth checking out with their tight, engaging performances.

Hind Ear

In a line up very much dominated by the guitar, Hind Ear will without doubt refresh with their euphoric electronica in the same vein as Battles. Loops, samples, tribalism and beats abundant, the Brighton band will thrill.

Mafia Lights

Mafia Lights are our pick for the various official aftershow parties, taking their powerful, surf-influenced rock to Hoxton’s Underbelly venue. The promising quartet played a rammed aftershow at the Old Blue Last last year and are most certainly set to better it this time around.
