A Day In The Life: Midnight Juggernauts

Vincent gives us a blow by blow account of a day not so long ago.

The full title of this wonderful feature is 'A Day In The Life Of An Up-And-Coming Indie / Pop Star', but unfortunately that's just too long to fit in the header bar there. It does, however, explain what's going on here pretty well.

To celebrate their recent return to Europe for a string of live dates in advance of the release of their new single 'Lara Versus The Savage Pack', taken from their second album 'The Crystal Axis', Midnight Juggernauts' frontman Vincent Vendetta has given us a blow by blow account of a day he had not so long ago. Unlike some of our other features however, this one is a special day - Friday 12th November, the date they supported Chromeo at the Roundhouse in London.

11:00am - We wake up and get ready to leave the hotel.

11:21am - Gathering in the hotel lobby as we search for the car keys which Daniel has misplaced. They don't appear. New replacement keys are sent in a taxi to our hotel.

12:00am - Go to the bank to exchange euros for pounds. Barclays tell me the rates are better at Marks and Spencer so I change at M&S instead and score an extra £7!

1:00pm - Go to the US consulate to pick up our passports with new US working Visas. We're quite relieved to get our passports back as we're leaving for Colombia in two days.

3:00pm - Phone interviews with Mexican Press. Makes me really excited to return to Mexico later this month. Plus I love Mexican food.

4:30pm - Go searching around streets for Mexican food. No luck.

5:00pm - Go to the Roundhouse in Camden for soundcheck for the show this evening with Chromeo. The soundcheck ends up not happening.

8:00pm - Play the Roundhouse show. I like this room.

9:00pm - Display fancy footwork to Chromeo.

10:30pm - We roam around the venue and backstage, catching up with London friends.

12:00am - DJ at XOYO with Chromeo and Atrak. We play mainly Doobie Brothers tracks.

3:00am - Late night bagels on Brick Lane

3:30am - I check emails at the hotel lobby.

3:50am - Sleep. Ready to do it again in Manchester the following day...
