After a somewhat wet start to the festival, DIY reflects on yesterday's goings on.
As our first band of the festival, Metronomy kick things off with a solid set. However, the vastness of the Pyramid stage plus the time of day doesn't result in quite the effect we can only presume they were looking for. Recently released 'She Wants' is a highlight, as is the crowd-pleasing 'The Look' and their signature flashing light show.
Two Door Cinema Club entertain an incredibly large crowd with their energetic and charismatic set. Eagerly awaited, the whole audience stands up on their arrival and the The Northern Irish trio don't disappoint.
The audience provide Fenech-Soler with a warm and encouraging atmosphere in the Dance Village tent, as they tear through a carefully crafted setlist. Highlights include hits 'Demons' and 'Stop & Stare', a real cockle warmer on a damp and rainy afternoon.
Enveloped in a twirling green cape, Conor Oberst enchants the audience with a set of their angsty back catalogue. The heavy rain and deep mud by the Other Stage keeps audience numbers low, which only adds to the intimate feel of the performance. Definitely one of the highlight's of the day.
Radiohead's 'secret set' on the Park Stage is the festival's worst kept secret, with the audience spilling out of the Park arena, into the surrounding fields. Sticking predominantly to their latest album, 'The King Of Limbs', the band deliver a great performance, as always, to an already won over crowd.
Grouplove, Caribou, Oh Land, Cee Lo Green and Little Dragon.
