Glastonbury Guide: Friday 25th June 2010
The DIY approved route through Glastonbury 2010.
Posted 22nd June 2010, 1:33pm in Features, by Stephen Ackroyd

Understatement of the year; quite a lot of bands play Glastonbury. Some of them are ace, some of them are rubbish, some of them are a bit rubbish but you want to see them anyway, just because.
So, picking out just a few across the whole festival would be quite hard. We're splitting things up by day, running the whole thing against our timesheets to give you the DIY approved route through Glastonbury 2010.
11:00: Rolf Harris, Pyramid Stage
You just have to, really. Rolf kicks off the festival on the Pyramid Stage - any explanation really seems entirely unnecessary. Bring on the wobble board.
11:50: Peggy Sue, The Park
You'll be heading back to The Park stage quite a bit during the festival. Best make a good start early doors with the pretty damn ace Peggy Sue. You'll be staying ther eto catch a few minutes of…
12:50: Lissie, The Park
... Lissie, before hot footing it to…
13:15: Tune-Yards, West Holt
… West Holt to catch the wondrous Tune-Yards. Yes, that means we're missing out Miike Snow at the John Peel stage, but that's just how it is.

14:15: Tegan and Sara, John Peel
We will be heading over to see Tegan and Sara, though, or at least a good section of. It's clash overload early doors, as we're off early to West Holts again.
14:45: Mariachi El Bronx, West Holts
It better be sunny on Friday. You need sun for a Mariachi band, and there are few finer than Mariachi El Bronx. Guaranteed to bring the party to Glastonbury 2010.
15:30: Bombay Bicycle Club, John Peel
Back to John Peel for the BBC (no, not that one), and then a quick between bands rest. You need to eat.

16:50: Kele, John Peel
The Bloc Party main man is sure to pack things out half way through the day. If he's not your thing there's also the magnificent Tubelord over at the Queens Head, but Kele wins out here out of sheer intrigue.
17:50: Local Natives, The Park
Back to The Park for a bit of Local Natives as we start to get towards to business end of the day.
19:00: Fanfarlo, Queens Head
Over to the Queens Head for a touch of Fanfarlo - you can't go wrong with that, though it will mean missing the lions share of The Big Pink at The Park Stage. Still, best be over here so you can stick around for..

20:00: The Mystery Jets, Queens Head
With new material sounding pretty ace, it seems as good a time as any to catch up with Mystery Jets. Just make sure you get over to The Park for half eight.
20:30: Special Guests, The Park
We've heard everything from Jack White to Arcade Fire tipped to take this slot. This high up a bill this good, it's going to at least be worth checking out.
20:45: Hot Chip, Other Stage
You're not going to make the start of this set, unless those special guests are a bit rubbish, but if you want a way to build up to the big event, this is as good as any. After all, we're all here to see...
22:00: Gorillaz, Pyramid Stage
The best slightly unintentional music event of the year? Probably. 'Nuff said, really.

If you want to make your own run-through, there's a pretty damn ace clashfinder available via the official Glastonbury website.
