Glastonbury Guide: Sunday 27th June 2010

Some bands are ace, some are rubbish, some are a bit rubbish but you want to see them anyway.

Understatement of the year; quite a lot of bands play Glastonbury. Some of them are ace, some of them are rubbish, some of them are a bit rubbish but you want to see them anyway, just because.

So, picking out just a few across the whole festival would be quite hard. We're splitting things up by day, running the whole thing against our timesheets to give you the DIY approved route through Glastonbury 2010.

11:00: The Joy Formidable, Other Stage

Final day, and what better way to kick off than with the pretty damn brilliant Joy Formidable. If you haven't caught them yet, you really need to sort it out. If you have, you'll already have this down on your list.

12:00: Frightened Rabbit, Other Stage

Frightened Rabbit for lunch. Well, it's what people probably do in that countryside.

12:30: Villagers, The Park

Hopefully Villagers won't live up to his name and refuse to play any songs because we're out-of-towners. We're pretty sure he won't.

13:00: Everything Everything, John Peel

Everything Everything played an acoustic show for us at last year's Camden Crawl. We have a feeling that once their debut album is released, that's going to seem pretty damn insane.

13:40: Avi Buffalo, The Park

There's no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than with a bit of Avi Buffalo. Much more suited here than his later slot this evening.

14:00: These New Puritans, John Peel

Off the back of an ace second record, we may have preferred to see TNP under the night sky, but beggars cannot be choosers.

15:00: Mountain Man, Queens Head

Their album is pretty damn great, and what is Glasto if it's not for checking out acts with pretty damn great albums?

15:10: Holy Fuck, John Peel,

We don't star out the name, so we'll censor our description to even up the odds. ***.

16:00: Grizzly Bear, Other Stage

We're heading back towards the big stages for the sharp end of Glastonbury 2010. Grizzly Bear are a nice way to ease ourselves in before a quick dash of...

16:25: The Drums, John Peel

… The Drums, mostly just to see what the fuss is about, if you haven't already.

17:30: We Are Scientists, Other Stage

Two hopes. One, the between stage banter is good, and two, they give us a blast of Goal England! Sadly, we know full well the cover of Boys 2 Men will never return without Tapper. Sad times.

18:30: Archie Bronson Outfit, The Park

You can't go wrong with a bit of Archie Bronson Outfit in the evening, which is pretty damn useful, because there's a bit of us worried that...

19:00: MGMT, Other Stage

… MGMT may decide to ignore 'the hits'. Either way, though, their psychedelic second album should be perfect for Glastonbury.

19:15: Broken Social Scene, John Peel

You can't go to Glastonbury without one multi-band-tastic Canadian collective. Take your dose here.

19:50: Chew Lips, BBC Introducing

OK, we'rve ignored the BBC Introducing stage until now - mostly because for some odd reason it was missing on our clash finder. Schoolboy error. Chew Lips make a nice appetiser for...

20:30: LCD Soundsystem, Other Stage

… the big one. For us, anyway. LCD Soundsystem, up near the top of the bill, bringing in the dusk on the Other Stage. Could it be more perfect? No. No it couldn't.

21:15: Dirty Projectors, The Park

Sadly, we're not expecting Bjork to show up, even considering recent news. Still, this is a good way to prepare for the big send off.

21:45: Stevie Wonder, Pyramid

See, you just have to, don't you. Glastonbury 2010. Done.
