What a difference a year makes. A mere twelve months ago, The National were packing them in the Word Arena, this summer they're only flipping headlining the Obelisk Arena main stage. Once considered one of alternative music's best kept secrets, the release of 'High Violet' last year saw them finally, and deservedly, cross over from the underground to the mainstream. With vocalist Matt Berninger's distinctive baritone vocals capable of reducing grown men to tears, Latitude's Friday night headliners promise emotionally charged and literate indie rock at it's finest.
