We're half way through 2011, so it's time to list our writers' favourite records of the last six months.

20. Tellison - The Wages Of Fear
Tellison are entirely rejuvenated, having changed direction and created what is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the albums of the year. Nobody could possibly blame them for being so optimistic. They're in a rich vein of form - hopefully something that ensures we don't have to wait another four years for album number three.

We're already half way through 2011. Yes - really. While it may seem like only a blink of an eye ago that we didn't have a new Radiohead album, that James Blake was some bloke with some good EPs and honestly, nobody was expecting to have their gob dropped to the floor by The Antlers, we're already at the mid point of the year.
What better time, then, to canvas the opinion of our humble scribes to find their favourite albums of the year so far. This isn't worked out by original review scores - some albums improve with age, others fade away, but rather a flat vote of each writer's preferred three records of the 2011 to date. Bar the ones who didn't reply. They're too busy pissing about on BandCamp for albums, obviously.
So, without further ado, we list from twenty to one the 'best' albums of the year so far. Enjoy.
