Weird Dreams - Joan
To label this as an offcut, a piece of scrap that doesn’t even get within a mile of a forthcoming debut album, just goes to show how much Weird Dreams have got to offer. ‘Joan’ is the stylish couple, draped in black, waltzing round the spacious hall, whereas the rest of the band’s efforts pack more punch, throwing every shade towards the wall at once, Pollock-style. There’s something delightfully charming about this slower number and it’s a welcome sign that we’ve got much to look forward to in said debut.
