Last night saw the World Premiere of The Woman in Black, with star Daniel Radcliffe in attendance.
It's the first major starring role for Radcliffe since the end of the Harry Potter series. In James Watkin's adaptation of the classic Susan Hill novel, he plays a lawyer and widowed father who takes on a job in a spooky remote village, staying in the hanuted house of his deceased client.
We'll be bringing you a review shortly, but can reveal it's one of the most atmospheric horrors in years - a proper, old-fashioned chiller that is beautifully handled.
Our friends at Filmbeat were on the red carpet at the Royal Festival Hall last night, and spoke to Watkins, Radcliffe and his co-stars Liz White and Ciaran Hinds. Fantastic screenwriter Jane Goldman (X-Men: First Class, Kick-Ass) also reveals her love for the source novel and play, and how she jumped at the chance to adapt it.
The Woman in Black hits UK cinemas 10th February.
