With actor Paddy Considine's directorial debut Tyrannosaur hitting UK cinemas on 7th September, we sat down with him and his extraordinary leading lady Olivia Colman for a chat about the powerful drama.

Colman, best known for her comedic roles in the likes of Peep Show, plays a kindly charity shop worker who befriends Peter Mullan's highly aggressive drunk, despite being a victim of horrific domestic abuse at the hands of her husband (a chilling Eddie Marsan).

Considine's highly personal story is one of the most powerful films of the year, with three stand-out performances. Read our review here.

We met up with the pair in London last week, where we asked Considine why the time was right to make his mark as director and what surprised him most about being behind the camera. Colman spoke to us about how Considine handled the more distressing scenes in the film, and how much fun the atmosphere actually was on set.
