Joan Allen is in talks to reprise her role as Pamela Landy for The Bourne Legacy.
The film franchise continues without star Matt Damon, with Jeremy Renner stepping in to play a new lead character.
Variety report that Allen is negotiating a return as the CIA chief, as is Albert Finney. The actor popped up in The Bourne Ultimatum as Dir Hirsch.
As another amnesiac CIA took, Renner's character will discover a programme more dangerous that Treadstone. Rachel Weisz recently confirmed her involvement, and Oscar Isaac (Sucker Punch, Drive) will play another brainwashed assassin, Number 3. Edward Norton is currently in talks to play the film's villain.
Tony Gilroy, writer of the first three films, will get behind the camera this September for a 17th August 2012 release date.
