Justin Timberlake is in talks to join the cast of Trouble with the Curve.
The drama stars Clint Eastwood as a frail baseball scout who takes his daughter (Amy Adams) on one last recruiting trip. Variety report Timberlake is negotiating the role of Adams' love interest, a former pitcher and current scout for the New York Yankees. Matthew Lillard (enjoying a bit of a revival in The Descendants) and newcomer Joe Massingill are also set to co-star.
The film is the directorial debut of Robert Lorenz, Eastwood's producing partner. After the disappointing Hereafter and J. Edgar, we're glad Eastwood is remaining in front of the camera. Trouble with the Curve will hit US cinemas 28th September.
Timberlake continues his successful transition into acting, following roles in The Social Network, Bad Teacher, Friends with Benefits and In Time with the Coen Brothers' Inside Llewyn Davis.
