EW.com have premiered a host of new images from Timur Bekmambetov's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter 3D.

The director of Nightwatch and Wanted takes on Seth Grahame-Smith's spoof revisionist novel, with film newcomer Benjamin Walker taking on the beloved 16th US president who battles the undead in revenge for his mother's death.

The Thing and Scott Pilgrim star Mary Elizabeth Winstead stars as his wife Mary Todd Lincoln. Australian actress Robin McLeavy is Lincoln's mother, whose death at the hands, or fangs, of vampires haunts Abraham. He's helped in combat by sympathetic vampire Henry Sturgess (Dominic Cooper), with Rufus Sewell playing the baddie Adam. Anthony Mackie, Jimmi Simpson and Alan Tudyk also star.

In the pictures above see Walker, Sewell and model Erin Wasson. Walker told EW the noble president would've approved: "When he was a lawyer, going on the road, staying up late nights with legislators and businessmen in taverns, he was the life of the party; a very exciting and entertaining man in his own right. I think he’d love our movie."

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is in UK cinemas 2nd August 2012.
