Glee star Chris Colfer makes big screen debut with his own script.

The first trailer for Struck By Lightning has premiered at E! Online.

The comedy drama marks the big screen debut of Glee star Chris Colfer, who also wrote the script. Brian Dannelly (Pushing Daisies) directs.

Golden Globe-winning Colfer plays a high school student determined to be a successful editor. To get into the university of his dreams, he blackmails the student body into contributing to his school paper.

An all-star cast includes Allison Janney as Colfer's mother, Australian Bridesmaids actress Rebel Wilson, Modern Family's Sarah Hyland, Mad Men star Christina Hendricks and Dermot Mulroney.
