Tom Felton In Talks For Elizabeth Olsen-Starring Therese Raquin

Harry Potter star set to join Glenn Close in period drama.

Tom Felton is in talks to star in Therese Raquin.

Deadline reveal the Harry Potter actor is set to play the husband of Elizabeth Olsen's titular character in the period drama. Glenn Close stars as Madame Raquin, who forces her niece Therese into a loveless marriage with her sick, spoiled first cousin. Therese begins an affair with her husband's friend that has devastating consequences.

Emile Zola's 19th century novel and play is being adapted by writer/director Charlie Stratton, who directed the LA stage production. Laurent has yet to be cast.

Felton, famous as his role as Draco Malfoy in the beloved Harry Potter series, was recently seen in Rise of the Planet of the Apes. He recently shot supernatural horror The Apparition, co-starring Ashley Greene.
