The title of the third film has been revealed as The Dark of the Moon.

The third Transformers movie has its subtitle, with Michael Bay's film to go by the name of Transformers: The Dark of the Moon.

A title that will cause a million subconscious typos, it was leaked at first by fansite TFW2005 and confirmed by Collider's sources.

With the plot thought to involve the 1960s space race, it doesn't seem that obscure. It follows on from disastrous sequel Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, and once again stars Shia Labeouf. No Megan Fox of course, with Bay's obligatory hottie in the form of lingerie model Rosie Huntington-Whitely. Transformers 3 hits cinemas July 2011.
