DIY puts Flowers & Sea Creatures through a quickfire Q&A to get to know them a little better.

Hello. Who are you and what role do you play in the band?
Graham: Singer, guitarist, songwriter
Kosta: Keyboard, programmer, guitar, songwriter

What's the best thing about being a duo?
Graham: It makes travelling a breeze as well as facilitating sleeping arrangements, itineraries and logistics.

Name your influences, please:
Graham: Chet Baker, Marvin Gaye
Kosta: The Cure, Kraftwerk, Anne Clarke

If your career could emulate that of any other artist, who would it be?
Graham: We try not to over think it.

You've been compared to Radiohead. What do you make of that and are  you Radiohead fans?
Kosta: We are fans - definitely. However, do we listen to them on a daily basis? No.
Graham: Radiohead have accomplished so much as a 'band' whereas we are less of a 'band' and more of a night-owl project.

Who's your favourite ever musician?
Kosta: Paul McCartney
Graham: My mum

Have you ever bought someone flowers? Or had any bought for you?
Graham: Of course. I often buy flowers for those who are dear to me.
Kosta: Likewise

Do you suffer from hayfever?
No

What popular eighties film do you most sound like and why?
Graham: A strange decade for movies. Some good, many bad, but even the bad ones have charm.  I would say 'The Shining' or 'Blame it on Rio'.
Kosta: 'Risky Business'

Sum yourselves up in one sentence:
Graham: Quiet
Kosta: Jekyll and Hyde

What's the most exciting place you've ever travelled to?
Graham: Santorini
Kosta: NYC

How would you like people to listen to your music?
Graham: Introspectively
Kosta: With headphones

What are your plans for the rest of the year?
Kosta: Definately looking forward to writing new material and more live gigs.
Graham: Write a couple of killer night-owl tracks. For those gigs.

Flowers and Sea Creatures self-titled debut album is released 26 September on Buzzin' Fly Records.
