To My Boy Who Are They?
To My Boy consist of Sam White and Jack Snape. They're based in Liverpool and have been slaying the city's live venues with their Telecaster-wielding electro having supported the likes of White Rose Movement, Boy Kill Boy and The Kooks over the past year.

What Do They Sound Like?
Fabulously scuzzed-up DIY electronic punk with hooks bigger than the Mersey. Think New Order flying around on jetpacks, or Gary Numan if he wasn't such a miserable git. It's futuristic-8-bit-pop and it's bloody ace.

Why Are They So Great?
They proudly proclaim "Down with miserable retroism, hurray for the beautiful machine", which made DIY want to pump our fist in the air and shout "YEAHHH!" really loudly in people's faces. They were the highlights of 2005's Liverpool Music Week festival and Dave McCabe from The Zutons hand-picked them to support at their recent homecoming gigs. Their live shows are one of the most exciting we've seen in ages, too, and make us want to dance like silly robots.

What Should I Be Checking Out?
Their superb demo EP is available to download off the interweb. Radio 1's Steve Lamaq and Rob Da Bank are both fans of the EP and have 'rinsed' To My Boy's 'joints' on their shows recently. They've also got a packed gig schedule coming up, playing uber-cool nights like NagNagNag (London), Frog (London) and Liars Club (Nottingham) over the next couple of months.
