Here's the launch trailer for EA and Starbreeze Studios' modern incarnation of the 1993 cult classic Syndicate. We were worried when it seemed Syndicate would be altered from a tense and strategic affair to an FPS, but all signs are pointing to good with this trailer backing up its claims.

With a wealth of voice talent, including Rosario Dawson and Brian Cox (no, not that one), the brutal sci-fi shooter is set to blend fast-paced action and futuristic settings with innovative gameplay where players can hack into and violently extract mind-controlling chips. Let's hope it's no Mindjack. Urgh.

“Syndicate immerses players deep into a dystopian world of unscrupulous corporations and chip augmented enforcers,” said Mikael Nermark, CEO of Starbreeze Studios. “These agents are the weapons of this war for market dominance and we needed strong talent to represent these intense characters. We are honored to have worked with the incredible Rosario Dawson, Brian Cox and Michael Wincott to make this world come alive.”

Syndicate will be available on 24th February for Xbox 360 and PS3.
