The latest installment in our Get To Know Glastonbury series.

We heard that Dan Mangan is a nice and cheerful fellow so we grabbed him for the latest installment in our Get To Know Glastonbury series.

Hello, who are you and what role do you play in the band?
My name is Dan Mangan. I play the most similar person to Dan Mangan in the band "Dan Mangan".

How many times have you performed at Glastonbury?
This will be our second. Cool hey? Last time "Peel", this time "Other".

What's your Glastonbury postcard moment?
Watching 150,000+ people watch Stevie Wonder from way back - behind the fence. We couldn't see/hear much of the stage, but it was a spectacle.

Who will you be looking out for in the backstage area?
Last year I ended up on Willie Nelson's tour bus with Willie and Snoop Dog and a few other people. Seriously. Not sure this year - we're sharing a stage with TV On The Radio - I'd like to meet them.

How do you plan your festival set?
We're on first in the day, so we'll have to grab people who are hungover and tired. Should be interesting.

What makes Glastonbury special?
That it's the biggest outdoor festival in the world and there's no corporate sponsorship - and that they give proceeds to charities.

What's your worst festival memory?
Playing in 40+ degree celsius weather in Australia. The festival was still great. But we sweated.

Have you ever worn fancy dress at a festival? If so, what did you dress up as?
A figment of Wayne Coyne's imagination.

How do you deal with Glastonbury weather?
With a great deal of fear.

Which festival, in your opinion, is sporting the best line up this year?
Looking forward to seeing Beirut at End Of The Road. Earlier this year we saw Death From Above's return at Sasquatch in the USA. I bet there's a handful of real winners at each of 'em.

Finally, where else can we see you play this summer?
We'll be at Haldern Pop, End Of The Road, and at six or seven festivals back home in Canada.

Dan Mangan plays Glastonbury's Other stage at 11am on Sunday 26th June
