Blur's Alex James and three members of New Order have formed a new band; Bad Lieutenant.

Blur Blur's Alex James and three members of New Order have formed a new band; Bad Lieutenant.

New Order's Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris and Phil Cunningham will team up with James, releasing an album in October.

"I'm very proud of it, it's a very good album," Sumner commented to the BBC. "It's pretty guitary too because we've got three guitarists in the band."

The frontman confirmed live dates later this year and festivals next. Footage of their track 'Sink Or Swim' is already on YouTube (minus James).

Blur play the first date of their comeback tomorrow night. DIY will be tweeting live from the show at http://www.twitter.com/thisisfakediy.
