Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos is to have a book of his Guardian column published later in the year.

Franz Ferdinand Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos is to have a book published.

'Sound Bites', a collection of the singer's column in The Guardian will hit shops later this year, with added extras.

The book will be illustrated by Franz's touring keyboardist (and Glasgow School of Art graduate) Andrew Knowles.

Meanwhile Franz Ferdinand appear at Reading and Leeds, T In The Park and Oxegen festivals this Summer.
