Anonymous Brings Down Universal Music Website In Megaupload Retaliation War. What is it good for? Bringing down the websites of major labels, apparently.

Following the news earlier today (19th January) that the FBI had shut down file sharing site Megaupload, those friendly people at online collective Anonymous appear to have been 'doing their thing'.

Both universalmusic.com and justice.gov went offline shortly after federal authorities revealed Megaupload had been brought down.

Speaking to RT.com, Anonymous operative Barret Brown explained: “It was in retaliation for Megaupload, as was the concurrent attack on Justice.gov.”

Brown also added that "more is coming". Ooo, and indeed, err.

Update: RIAA.org and MPAA.org also appear to be offline.
