Arcade Fire, Beirut, Conor Oberst For 4AD Charity Compilation

Record label to release 'Dark Was The Night'

Arcade Fire Arcade Fire, Beirut and The Decemberists are set to appear on a new compilation by 4AD.

The record label will release 'Dark Was The Night' on February 16 in support of AIDS charity Red Hot Organisation.

The album has been produced by The National members Aaron and Bryce Dessner and will also include Andrew Bird, Kevin Drew and Iron & Wine.

To wet your appetite, the full list of acts taking part are- Andrew Bird, Antony and Bryce Dessner, Arcade Fire, Beach House, Beirut, Blonde Redhead and the Devastations, Bon Iver, Bon Iver and Aaron Dessner, The Books featuring Jose Gonzalez, Buck 65 remix (featuring Sufjan Stevens and Serengeti), Cat Power and Dirty Delta Blues, The Decemberists, Dirty Projectors and David Byrne, Kevin Drew, Feist and Ben Gibbard, Gizzly Bear, Grizzly Bear and Feist, Iron & Wine, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Kronos Quartet, Stuart Murdoch, My Brightest Diamond, My Morning Jacket, The National, The New Pornographers, Conor Oberst and Gillian Welch, Riceboy Sleeps, Dave Sitek (TV On The Radio), Spoon, Sufjan Stevens, Yeasayer, Yo La Tengo.
