Basement Jaxx, Friendly Fires and Calexico are to play the Big Chill in 2009, it has been announced.

The group will join Orbital on the line-up in August. Norman Jay, Pharaoh Sanders and Ludovico Einaudi are also on the bill.

The festival takes place from August 7- 9 in Herefordshire with tickets on sale today.
