Biffy Clyro Biffy Clyro's Simon Neil has been talking to BBC 6 Music about the band working on a new record - and has reassured fans (of the band, and possibly also 'music') that they won't be changing direction any time soon.

"We're always going to be a rock band, it's always going to be heavy, but hopefully just bring different elements, it's going to sound like Biffy, it's not going to be a reggae record put it that way."

According to Neil, there are "15 or 16" songs already written for the follow-up to the single-tastic 'Only Revolutions', and they'll hit the studio once they've finished touring - they're currently on the road in the US.

When asked about X Factor winner Matt Cardle's version of 'Many of Horror', Neil laughed. "We were in Australia when it happened, it seemed like a bit of a joke and it still feels a bit surreal so I don't really know how to take it at all.

"Thankfully we weren't in the UK, I think we might have thought about it a bit more but because we were in Australia we just thought sod it, it's funny."

The money can't hurt, either.
