Bloc Party Will Be Releasing New Album

And yes, it looks like it will be with Kele Okereke.

Bloc Party Bloc Party have revealed plans to release a new album, and it's looking as though Kele Okereke will still be their vocalist.

In an interview with Zane Lowe on Radio 1's Breakfast Show this morning (3rd January), Kele confirmed that the band are currently working on new material for their fourth record, which is set for release late this year.

In the interview, Okereke confirmed the band have two tracks recorded, with a further seventeen in demo form.

The band's last album 'Intimacy' was released all the way back in 2008, with them going on hiatus back in October 2010 as all of the members embarked upon solo projects. Kele himself recently followed up his debut solo album with an EP, 'The Hunter' on 31st October, but controversy hit when reports stated that the singer had left the band permanently.

So, the lesson to learn with this one? Bloc Party is still Bloc Party.
