Carl Barat claims The Libertines' recent comeback shows were "beyond words".The band, who split in 2004, recently reunited to play Reading and Leeds festivals, plus two special shows at London's Forum.
“It has been truly beyond words and I couldn't have been happier with your response,” said Barat. “I am predictably exhausted but exhilarated and so glad to have been a part of it once more.”
The shows themselves received a varying degree of critical acclaim, but were praised by Reading boss Melvin Benn. Barat is due to release his debut solo album in October.
