Cover Girl: Vampire Weekend Sued For $2 Million "Ooops!"

That's what Vampire Weekend may be thinking this morning. Remember that lovely young lady on the cover of recent album 'Contra'? The one they've also been using as a massive back drop at festivals, on national television, on posters - basically everywhere?

Yep, she's suing them. For $2 MILLION. Can we get a 'blimey'?!

Model Kirsten Kennis claims she didn't know anything about the usage, and didn't sign a release form for the photograph, taken by Tom Brody in 1983. She claims the signature was forged and, because the band didn't 'verify the legitimacy of the release', is asking for the compensation.

If the band are worried, next time round we've got a cracking photo of a dustbin they can have for only $1.5 million. A steal.
