We seem to have a thing for bands who replace their drummers quick sharp. Not that we have a problem with drummers. Vivian Girls have a new sticksperson (oh the perils of male dominated musician terminology - Ed) in the form of Fiona Campell of Coasting (and formally the Coolies, where she met the other VGs).
It's no sacking, though. Previous drummer Ali Koehler has joined Best Coast full time after playing with them live recently. With an album as good as their imminent effort, that could be a smart move.
It's just a shame nobody gave Phil Collins a ring. Poor Phil.
