Fleet Foxes Win First Uncut Award
Band beat Elbow and Radiohead to the prize.

Fleet Foxes have won the Uncut Music Award for their debut album.The Seattle band beat eight other acts to the prize including Elbow, Radiohead and Vampire Weekend.
What the band actually win, we're not quite sure but it does mean the group have created the most rewarding album between September 2007- August 2008, according to Uncut- hurrah!
The prize was judged by the likes of Peter Hook, Edwyn Collins, Tony Wadsworth and Mark Radcliffe.
The shortlist was-

Drive By Truckers – 'Brighter Than Creation’s Dark'
Elbow – 'The Seldom-Seen Kid'
The Felice Brothers - 'The Felice Brothers'
Fleet Foxes – 'Fleet Foxes'
The Raconteurs – 'Consolers Of The Lonely'
Radiohead - 'In Rainbows'
Vampire Weekend – 'Vampire Weekend'
