Franz Ferdinand, Metronomy Among First Field Day 2012 Names

Franz Ferdinand are amongst the first names announced for next year's Field Day festival.

Franz Ferdinand Franz Ferdinand are among the first names announced for next year's Field Day festival.

The band are joined on the bill for 2012's event, held in London's Victoria Park by The Vaccines, AfroCubism, Metronomy, Andrew Bird, Baxter Dury, Beirut, Joy Orbison, Errors, Gold Panda, Here We Go Magic, Hudson Mohawke, SBTRKT, and Julio Bashmore.

Franz Ferdinand are also set to play Spains Primavera Sound festival, with the follow up to 2009's 'Tonight: Franz Ferdinand' appearing a good bet for a 2012 release.

Field Day will take place on Saturday 2nd June.
