Frightened Rabbit There's always been something special about a tour consisting of intimate shows and acoustic sets, and this looks set to be no different.

Frightened Rabbit - who are about to start working on their fourth album - have announced details of a tour around the Scottish Highlands, playing in venues with tiny capacities, whilst mixing things up with impromptu acoustic sets amongst full band shows.

However, for the most part, the venues are places the band have never been able to visit, adding another touch of adventure to the whole thing. Frontman Scott Hutchinson has said the following of the tour: "I think the great thing about this tour is the fact that we'll be playing to a lot of people who have never been able to see the band before. We've never even visited some of these towns, and I can't think of a better way to see your own country than to jump in a van and play some shows. It's been something we've all been really keen to do for some time, and it's exciting that it's finally come together."

The four-piece from Selkirk will be making the following stops:

APRIL
11 Gourock Cafe Continental (Acoustic - Scott only)
12 Perth Twa Tams (Acoustic - Scott only)
13 Forres The Loft (Acoustic - Scott only)
14 Ullapool The Arch Inn (Acoustic - Scott only)

19 Stornoway An Lanntair (Full Band)
