Green Day Debut Fifteen New Songs At Surprise Show

The band played a last gig at Costa Mensa in California.

Green Day Green Day debuted 15 new songs at a surprise show last week.

The band played a last gig at Costa Mensa, California's Tiki Bar 1700 Placentia which included a set almost entirely comprised of previously unheard material. They then performed a selection of their hits during an encore.

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong had recently revealed the band have been in the studio working on new material for the follow up to 2009's '21st Century Breakdown'.

The set list read:

The band have also released the lyrics to the track 'Amy'. They read:
