Guns N' Roses ended day one of Reading in chaos after taking to the stage an hour late.True to his word, festival organiser Melvin Benn cut the band off, but they still managed to play until midnight after taking to the stage at 10:30pm, an hour after their scheduled slot.
Finishing their set on 'Night Train' the band left the stage, trying to return for an encore. At this point the sound was cut, with the band still attempting to perform 'Paradise City'. The crowd, only able to hear the band's drums, attempted to sing the track, with Axl Rose joining on a megaphone.
This continued for a short while, before the band finally left the stage.
The crowd itself had previously booed the band for their late appearance.
Guns N' Roses played:
'Chinese Democracy'
'Welcome To The Jungle'
'It's So Easy'
'Mr. Brownstone'
'Sorry'
'Live And Let Die'
'This I Love'
'Rocket Queen'
'Street Of Dreams'
'You Could Be Mine'
'Sweet Child O' Mine'
'November Rain'
'Night Train'
'Paradise City' (well, kind of - the megaphone mix - Ed)
