Ida Maria: November UK Jaunt
The singer's throat problem has cleared up.
Ida Maria has revealed details of her first full headline UK tour.
The singer, speaking to NME, told of how a throat problem that forced her out of a series of festival shows was now on the mend.
"It was quite serious, the doctor said I was absolutely forbidden from doing anything," she explained. "I'm on the second round of antibiotics now so I'm recovering. It was deeply painful to cancel the shows, because I'd never really cancelled anything before. It was heartbreaking. I feel sorry for the people who wanted to see us play."
"I can't describe how excited I am about this tour," she explained. "Going back to loads of towns and cities where we've played support slots before. It's going to be wonderful. It will be a huge difference having the album out.
"We've been on tour with these songs for two years now, so we've done it the hard way around, but we wanted to make sure we could stand as a live band, so now we'll have the record out now it's an extra boost. It will be so much fun. I'm looking forward to getting some extra backing singers in the crowd!"
