Idlewild Unveil Unusual Album Plans
Fans will have the chance to preorder the album before recording

Idlewild are allowing fans to preorder their new album- before it is recorded.The band are planning to hit the studio in early 2009, however fans can preorder the album now on the group's official website.
If they do they will be treated to exclusive artwork, updates on the band's progress and a listen of the album before its official release. Fans can even get their name on the CD credits.
In a statement the band said: "After 11 years of recording and releasing records within the constraints of the record industry we now fee that the time is right and the technology exists for us to deal more quickly and directly with the fans. It also allows us total control of our music and will ultimately mean that should you choose to get involved you will hear our music as soon as it is available."
A traditional release of the album is also expected in late 2009. Meanwhile you can preorder the album at www.idlewildmusic.com.
