Jarvis Cocker Jarvis Cocker will release a book of annotated selected lyrics on 20th October. Titled 'Mother, Brother, Lover', it will be available as both a hard back edition (£14.99) and digitally (£11.99).

Here's a bit of info: "Opening with an essay on the art of lyric-writing, the selection features Pulp classics such as ‘Common People’, ‘Babies’ and ‘This is Hardcore’, as well as less familiar and unreleased songs.  Spanning thirty years of songwriting, the collection reveals a unique sensibility: a sometimes visceral, sometimes everyday take on love, relationships and the things that happen when the lights get low."

This won't be Cocker's first foray outside of creating music: he currently presents his own radio show on BBC Radio 6 Music, 'Jarvis's Sunday Service', and has appeared in film versions of the Fantastic Mr. Fox and Harry Potter & The Goblet Of Fire - albeit as part of a band, the Weird Sisters, in the latter.
