Johnny Foreigner are just about to start recording their second album - the follow up to their debut 'Waited Up 'til It Was Light', which was released last year (2008)The band are currently on tour in Europe with Sky Larkin, but in between that ending (at the start of March) and their Hundred Reasons tour starting (end of March), they'll be recording in New York.
In the band's blog, Alexei posted: "Did we mention second album, by the way? Yayyyyyers. We're going to Futureshock in Brooklyn with Birmingham escapee and Grammy award nominated and At The Drive-In producing Alex Newport. Picture, if you'll indulge, his resume being read by the Grammy commitee next year. "So, Death Cab, Rival Schools, Johnny who?" We're super hyper +1 excited. Can you make the guitars sound like FFFFZTSDYSYTRRZZZZZZtt please? We get an apartment to stay in too, expect Cribs style rockumentarys on who cooks the best (not me).
Anywaysssssssss.
We have waaaaay too many new songs to fit on an album. Seriously, we're thinking of hawking a few round other bands to make some cash on th side. If you know a band that lacks songs, plz write to them on our behalf."
In the meantime, you can pick up 'Waited Up 'til It Was Light' here.
